Inconel 601
Description:
The Inconel 601 nickel alloy is a general-purpose engineering material designed for applications that require resistance to heat and corrosion. The prominent feature of inconel 601 is its high electrical resistance and outstanding high-temperature oxidation resistance within 1200 degree. The heat-resistant alloy also has perfect resistance to carburization and carbonitriding, has high mechanical strength, and is readily machined and welded.
Thanks to this unique composition, Alloy 601 is popular in a number of major global industries including:
Thermal, chemical, and petrochemical processing
Pollution control
Aerospace
Power generation
Within each of these industries, Nickel Alloy 601 and Inconel 601 are a major construction material for such products as:
Baskets, trays, and fixtures for heat-treating
Tubes, muffles, retorts, conveyor belts, chain curtains, and flame shields for industrial furnaces
Tube supports grid barriers, and ash-handling systems for power generation equipment
Igniters and diffuser assembles in gas turbines for aerospace applications
