Alloy 46
Description:
Alloy 46/Glass Sealing 46 Alloy/UNS K94600
Alloy 46 is a nickel-iron controlled expansion alloy containing 46: nickel. It has a fairly constant coefficient of thermal expansion from room temperature up to 932 °F (500 °C).
Consisting of 46% nickel and iron balance, 46 Alloy is a controlled expansion alloy used mostly in electronic applications, especially for glass and ceramic seals. Alloy 46 is also known as Pernifer 462, NILO 464, and Glass-Seal 461.
